The new headquarters of CMB, one of the most important Italian construction firms, is the result of the main elevation original design, which combines large windows integrated with Schüco photovoltaic cells with a ventilated façade in bricks, a construction material rooted in the tradition, for a project designed to offer maximum energy efficiency. The shell of the building, covered by a ventilated brickwork wall, joins in the main elevation, giving shape to a semi-closed surface in the lateral parts, marked by small square openings arranged in a schematic configuration. The large structural window with integrated photovoltaic cells opens out in the central part, allowing the sun to permeate the interiors and emphasizing the volume towards the outside.
